Stephen Strasburg, the first overall pick in last years draft went to the Washington Nationals and has started his spring training in Viera, Florida. Being the new guy on the team, Strasburg has gotten some tough love from the veterans on the team. They are not just going to throw him in the big leagues but let him work his way up. Strasburg himself is not in a rush to make it to the big time, he is going to go where the nationals send him. According to sports.espn.go.com the Nationals are going to treat him like gold and be very cautious. The last thing they need is for Strasburg to create a growing injury from being thrown in the fire.

This guy seems like the real deal, but how hard can it be to mow down competition in the WAC or whatever conference he pitched in? So many of these young talents never materialize. Let’s not start talking about this young buck and Hall of Fame speeches too soon.
He is legit, anyone who can throw consistently over 100 mph as a starter is a stud, hall of fame is likely if he stays healthy.
